Art Prints

This is an art print of a digital illustration of vintage vessels found in homes in Madras. Growing up in Madras, one would have come across the traditional utensils used at home. Whether it's the idli cooker or the coffee decoction vessel, pots and kadaais, there's something about these vintage paatrams (vessels) that remind us of home and home-cooked food. Most importantly, who can forget the vintage tiffin carriers? :)

The illustration was made as part of my 'With love from Namma Chennai' series. From old-time doors of houses to the traditional thoranams on our entrances, vintage vessels to the ever-so-indispensable autorickshaw, this collection reminds you of Madras and everything that's native to it. The #littlethingsofmadras that make you reminisce it's rich culture. It is in this beautiful fabric of daily life that our memories of the city are made.
